A single story - Chxta Nwanze
It is really a marvel how our leaders, and this is not just a
Nigerian problem apparently, will see the mistakes made in other parts
of the planet, and will simply copy the system which led to the error in
the first place. Case point: ECOWAS, our beloved supra-national body,
which has told us in unambiguous terms that we will be dumping our
beloved naira, for something called the Eco, in a mere six years. Now
forget the fact that the French, who control 106 millions out of our 340
millions of people will kick against this single currency, would it not
make a bit of sense if we take some of the lessons learned by the French themselves, and their allies, with their failing experiment called the Euro?
But then sometimes, lessons are only meant to be taught, and not necessarily learned, as the experiences of three random parents may signify. Chris, Iheoma and Amina have had varying experiences with their kids, and enforcing discipline. They each talk about it in a piece that may end up rekindling the age old debate about children and rods, and being that Chxta now has a clone who is beginning to take pleasure in running around, well, Chxta will be following this debate rather keenly.
