Ugandan tabloid publish names of 200 prominent homosexuals

Image
Just a day after the Ugandan President signed the anti-gay bill into law, a newspaper in the country The Red Pepper newspaper today published 200 names of prominent gay men and women in Uganda. Amongst those listed includes a catholic priest, a rap artiste as well as a prominent gay rights activist, Pepe Julien Onziema. The list which appeared with the title Exposed, has generated great concern as it appears as a way of witch-hunting the gay community in Uganda. The list contained the names of those that were already known to be gay as well as those who have led a private gay life. This isn't the first time this will happen in Uganda. In 2011, a list of prominent gays in Uganda was released by a Ugandan tabloid in which the editor asked for them to be Hanged. This unfortunately led to the gruesome murder of one of the country's gay right activists, David Kato.

Woman whose face was filled with 'cement' by fake plastic surgeon gets help

Image
Rajee Narinesingh, 46, was born a man. He decided he wanted a different life and identity and turned himself to a woman. He didn't like what he looked like as a woman and decided to have plastic surgery done. She didn't have enough money to go to 'dem Beverly Hills 90210 doctors and decided to do what she could afford.  The black market plastic surgeon she paid to do the surgery injected 'cement' like filler into her cheeks, lips, breasts and buttocks leaving her face looking deformed. Lol. God forgive me for laughing but it's too funny. The fake doctor who carried out the operation, Oneal Ron Morris, 32, was jailed for a year in January 2014, nine years after she carried out the surgery, after admitting one count of practicing healthcare without a licence. Thankfully for Rajee, after her predicament was made public, a doctor offered to fix her face.

Redeemed Church to build a university, sports complex, golf course in Texas

Image
Here's an article found on BBC written by one of their reporters Jason Margolis. See below...   For centuries, European and American missionaries have gone to Africa to spread the word of Christ. That trend is now working in reverse, with a Nigerian minister in Texas who plans to build churches as numerous as Starbucks coffee shops. Drive an hour north-east of Dallas, and you will find yourself staring off into a barren, flat horizon. One out-of-place building rises above the landscape: a 10,000-seat auditorium.   It is the centrepiece for the Redeemed Christian Church of God in North America. It is one of Africa's largest and most influential Christian movements, claiming more than five million followers worldwide, mostly in Nigeria.
